We have a purpose.

We have a purpose in life. Each one of us. We just have to go after it. God gives us the right to think for ourselves.  so we can decide to go after our purpose and do what God wants or we can not. Esther 4:14  (KJV) 14  For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? And here's the same verse and I cannot remember what version it is.  Esther 4:14.  Perhaps this is the moment for which you were created. (this version of the verse is a little more clear to me)  This is my life verse. It shows me that I was created for a reason. That we all were. That God had a special plan for me since he created me. It's really amazing, isn't it?!  And heres the verse  I wrote down in case I started doubting myself:  Isaiah 41:9 You whom I took f

Friendships: good and bad.

So I've been wanting to do this post for awhile, and then I read one of my friends blog posts about her friendships and it  kind of inspired me to write this now! We have to be careful who we pick as friends. 1 Corinthians 15:33,  Do not be misled: "bad company corrupts good character." my mom always reminds me of this, she used to say "you are who you hang out with."  I think that's why I'm careful about choosing friends. I think we should all be. Not so careful that we never give anyone a chance though! Our friends define us. Who we are and what we're like. It's important to choose your friends wisely.   Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 18:24,  One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 22:24-25 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may l

Being Content.

Being Content.  I've been thinking about the verse Philippians 4:11.  it reads:  "Not that I am speaking of being in need,  for I have learned in whatever situation I am in, to be content." What is being content?  Being content is being at peace.  Contentment to me  is being happy and able to go day to day without being anxious about stuff,  and  being OK with how your life is.  It's not wrong to want more out of life, you just also have to be happy with your life the way it is. Be peaceful with  it.  Aim for the moon but be just as happy if you land on a star. Ya know what I mean?  In the Bible it tells us to be content,  here in 1 Timothy 6:6 it says: But godliness with contentment is great gain.  I'm sure there are more Bible verses that will tell us more about contentment,  but right now I have no Internet so I can't look up online the verses I need to use as references. 😕 And I would go get my bible but my sick cat is finally sleeping,  and
